The More I See You

Last year I was fortunate enough to win a competition being run on Twitter by Glasses Direct. The prize was a box of spectacle frames, this wasn’t one or two pairs, there were around 25-30 pairs of frames in a wild assortment of styles and colours. As I only wear glasses for reading and using the computer I obviously wasn’t able to make use of them all so I distributed them around the office and to friends and kept a few pairs that I liked with the intention of having them fitted out when I next had my eyes tested.

During a moment of madness I decided to have a bit of a clear-out at home and came across a few pairs that hadn’t been claimed and so, rather than let them go to waste I thought I’d offer them up to anyone who reads my blog who may want them. There are 4 pairs available; 1 pair are unisex (the Speedos) while the other 3 pairs are more suited to men but of course that’s just my opinion.

If you click on the photographs you’ll see a larger view with more detail. To claim a pair is quite simple, leave a comment stating which pair you want; A, B, C or D. The first person to request a particular pair gets them, I’m afraid this offer is only open to UK residents due to postage costs, it’s mid-month and I’m running out of cash!

With these frames or any others you happen to have I highly recommend Glasses Direct’s reglazing service. If you email or call them they’ll send you a padded envelope and an order form which you return with the frames and a copy of your prescription and they’ll return them ready to wear in about 10 days. Their reglazing service starts at just £25 and they also offer tinted lenses.

This may sound silly and obvious but please don’t enter if you don’t want to win. I recently ran a competition on another site and the winner never claimed the prize despite me sending them 3 emails! It made me wonder why they entered in the first place but of course as they never replied to any of my emails I couldn’t ask why!

If you don’t manage to get a pair and would like something I will send everyone who leaves a comment before 31 December 2010 a limited edition Lunic CD.

Of course I had to include a song and this time you should have guessed it quite easily from the title of this entry. It’s Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and their 80’s classic The More I See You, but you knew that already didn’t you?
