There’s a chance that if you know who Mellowdrone are, you’ll know who Big Black Delta are but if not all you really need to know is Big Black Delta is the solo project of Mellowdrone’s front man Jonathan Bates which started life in 2010 and releases new material for free every few months.
Variously described as indie, indie rock, industrial, rock, electronica, synthpop, space rock and ambient it’s safe to say one thing, Big Black Delta are good. How good? Well, in August Big Black Delta will be providing support to M83 and Jane’s Addiction in the US so yeah, pretty good. That makes the news that Last.fm will be hosting Big Black Delta at Camden’s Barfly all the more exciting as it’ll be in a much more intimate venue than our American cousins can expect to see them perform in.
The gig will take place on Tuesday 31 July at the Barfly, 49 Chalk Farm Rd, London NW1 8AN. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are a very reasonable £6 from Ticket Web but once again those nice folk at Last.fm have given me 2 pairs to give away. Just answer the very easy question below.
